As soon as the site is deemed safe, we will schedule a site visit for one of our project managers to conduct a full assessment of the building elements to decide what, if anything, is damaged beyond repair and what items are repairable and salvageable. This assessment will generate the repair scope of works. Unfortunately, in some cases, a fire-damaged building is unrepairable and will require demolition.

Make Safe

We prioritise building elements that can be repaired, and we will engage suitable contractors to remove what can’t be repaired. We also arrange for a team of restoration specialists to clean all salvageable items. If any hazardous materials are identified, they will be removed. After the building is clear of damaged items and clean, we will organise drying equipment to remove any moisture.

Tendering

Once we have determined the extent of damage and what repairs are required, a repair scope of works will be completed. This scope is sent for tender, and a preferred main contractor is chosen who best fits your repair needs and timeframes.

Pre-Construction

We manage the process and repair schedule, including compliance for your repairs and health and safety documentation. Before repairs start, we will make sure this schedule is suitable and a contract is drawn up. We want you to understand the repair process and be happy with the proposed plan.

Construction

Construction is the exciting phase where your property is physically repaired back to its former glory. Depending on the extent and location, smoke damage may be rectified during the initial make safe or construction phase. We will arrange for the main contractor, who was awarded the tender, to work with you through the process of repairing or rebuilding your home or business. Our staff will maintain excellent communication with you and actively manage the main contractor to complete quality repairs and meet compliance promptly and efficiently.

Completion

Finally, the moment you have been waiting for has arrived. Once the repairs are completed, we will hold a meeting at your property to ensure the repairs are satisfactory.
